Hi fellow weirdos and odd ones, my name is Melissa or Mel for short from The Odd Mouse Shoppe. I love trying to create the weirdest or most obscure pieces for kicks. I am heavily influenced by the weird world of Tim Burton, Emily the Strange, anything considered weird in pop culture and grungy colors. However, I love glitter, shine and sparkle inspired by EDM along with the grit and textures to bring you a beautiful mix of both worlds. My brand colors are primarily pink/fuchsia, black and white. I have a deep love for pink and incorporate all shades of it to represent my favorite weird animal, the flamingo.
I primarily focus on sculpting pendant settings, stand along sculpts and creating custom resin skull earrings or earrings in general. I use materials to create everything. I don’t have pre-made pieces so I can guarantee every piece is unique and not purchased in bulk. That was an issue I had when I first sold on Etsy, I personally felt like I was being undercut with lowest prices. If your familiar with Etsy, then you understand because you’re here just like I am.
What’s next is weirder, more grungy colors and unique pieces made for you or your loved ones. I should have mentioned earlier that this isn’t my full-time hobby (it is a dream of mine to do be able to), I currently work in Special Education field and love what I do. I am passionate about speaking out against injustices and thus why I’m here. I believe everyone has the right to be their authentic self and love who they want to love. I’m happy to cause some mayhem on here.
